Awal Medical Centre uses PenCS CAT4 – a clinical audit tool, to provide data-driven quality improvement in the practice. This uses de-identified data for AMC to identify places where our practice can improve to give better health care to our patients.
Deidentified data is health information that is stripped of all ‘direct identifiers’ – so it is no longer possible to place the individual the data comes from.
There is a good link from PracticeFusion which explains how and why this is important and useful.
If you feel you do not want your deidentified data in our audits, please talk to our practice manager and they will put you on a list of patients to exclude.
